Driver

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our Household Goods operation, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across the country. Duties

• Safely operate a variety of trucks to transport goods across the country
• Load and unload household goods, ensuring that it is properly secured and protected during transit
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
• Manage freight and cargo to ensure timely delivery and minimize delays
• Adhere to all safety regulations and standards, including those related to commercial driving
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs and manifests
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
• Drive for long periods of time, often exceeding 10 hours
• Meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances
• Perform other duties as required by the company

Responsibilities

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the necessary endorsements
• Proven experience as a truck driver, with a minimum of 1 year of experience
• Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
• Experience operating manual transmission vehicles
• Experience with load and unload procedures
• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test
• A clean driving record and a good driving history
• A commitment to safety and a strong understanding of the importance of adhering to safety regulations and standards.
